The Asheville Lyric Opera is recognized for its excellent artistic productions of operatic repertoire that entertain and inspire audiences, featuring established and emerging operatic talent from across the nation. One of the few opera production touring companies in the United States, the Asheville Lyric Opera has been reaching opera lovers in the heartland of America since 1999.

The award winning Pivetta Duo is a North Carolina based husband and wife duo dedicated to involving audiences of all ages with their energetic and imaginative programming.

Conversant in all genres of contemporary classical music, Scearce is available for commissioning of orchestral, choral, vocal, chamber, or solo works, including stage (opera, ballet, theatre) or film works.  He is the recipient of the prestigious international 2009 Raymond and Beverly Sackler Prize in Music Composition.

Former Principal Horn with the North Carolina Symphony, Andrew McAfee is a renowned soloist who retired from his busy orchestra schedule to focus on his solo performance career and his position as Professor of Horn at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC).

Brought up in a musical family, Mr. McAfee was principal horn with the Merced Symphony (CA) by the age of 15, and at 17, he made his solo debut with them playing Weber’s Concertino in E.

The country’s most sought-after Baroque trumpeter Barry Bauguess teams up with nationally renowned organist John O'Brien to offer the finest in early music performance. Individually, they have performed world-wide in many Baroque festivals and ensembles. Together, they have been stunning audiences with their precision, musicality, and understanding of the early music they perform.

Barry Bauguess is one of North America’s most sought-after Baroque trumpet concert and recording artists.

Four internationally recognized saxophonists have created one of the world’s finest quartets. Shows include Sax Appeal, French Connections, Never Too Tango, Composers of the Carolinas, and Tikvah (a multimedia oratorio by Burton Beerman for soprano voice, chorus, saxophone quartet, video and dance, based on memoirs of Torah scholar and Holocausts survivor Philip Markowicz.
